Got My First Advertiser

It’s pretty hard to believe, but after almost 3 years blogging, i just got my first direct advertiser. As you maybe already know, i monetize my blogs mainly with Adsense and Infolinks since they are reliable.

But about 3 weeks ago, i got an email from a person who asked to place ads on one of my blog. At first, i didn’t give it too much attention as many people withdrew after seeing my offer. But not with this one After several emails negotiate about the price, we got a deal and he place his ads for one months on my blog.

The deal is pretty neat and i hope he will extend it But regardless, i’m really happy for getting my first direct advertiser

First MegaUpload Payment!

At last, after waiting several days, yesterday MegaUpload send their payment to me. I choose to redeem the 100k point on the MegaUpload which is equal to $100 + 1 year premium member. It took more than one year to get me this far and i even still has some doubt whether they will pay or not. But my doubt is erased and if you still has some, i’ll show you the screen shot

The important thing about money redemption is you must a premium member. So, you just simply buy the cheapest premium member with your Paypal and then you done. Maybe Megaupload need this step to check if your Paypal account is exist. Hope this post can help you withdraw/redeem your Megaupload points

Moving Forward!

One of the toughest time of my blogging life just happened right now. Currently, i”m working out on one of my blog that have great future and high payment rate. And it causing me to have less time for my main blog and having difficulties on maintained it.

This is a bad move. No matter how brigh the future of my latest blog, my main blog still give me most of the income. Therefore, i think i must recruit someone to help me handle the blog.

But the problem starts now, i’m still not sure if i must hire someone or not. Hire someone means i got a cut on the income to pay the new employee. And it’s not end there, i also must find someone who can fit that role, and that’s not easy..

Lots of negotiation skill and managements skills will needed if i keep moving forward. I cannot keep doing all of this by myself after all. Let’s just pray that i make the right step

It’s not easy to choose someone as your team.

I Got My First Amazon Sales

At last.. After about a months without any result, i got a surprise when checking my Amazon account yesterday. Yup, i got my first order! Surprisingly, it’s not only one, but 6 items already shipped, yay! But the commission isn’t that much because it’s only 4% from the shipped price which is less than 100$. Not only that, i also got another 20 ordered items ^^ But all of them is cheap items. However, it can increase my commission rate as i’m using performance rate. Well, let’s hope i can get the payment threshold soon enough

PS: The new server is working well too, no downtime again when a new map coming out

The Heaviest Task from Blogging

To be a professional blogger, you do have certain job that must accomplished. Such as SEO tweaking, designing, analyzing and of course updating the blog. After 2 years blogging, it’s come to me that the heaviest task is updating the blog. If you still new, maybe you won’t feel it. But after 2 years and it become your routine, you’ll feel it’s very boring and tiring. Updating theme, doing some coding is probably has the same tiresome effect. But they do have exciting factor that unique whenever you’re doing it.

But updating post is something different. You will get bored eventually. And the worst of it, there’s some time when you’re not in a writing mood and the news just suddenly appear. Oh dear.. I don’t know, but i’m not in the mood for writing. Especially after lately i always got this bad mood whenever in the office. Yeah, some people is just plain suck (or maybe it’s just me) and always make my mood worse just by seeing their face. Sigh.. Gotta to do something about this..

Moving From Blogspot to Custom Domain

After 2 years using Blogspot domain, i decided to move into a custom domain. Although it’s pretty scary (you can lose all your traffic if you’re not doing right), i thought that this must be done. And, the result are..

I successfully move into a custom domain without much of losing traffics. The process takes a week, and during the process, i got declining traffic as predicted. But after my new domain got indexed properly, my traffics now is almost the same like before moving. I will tell you some my tips to move your domain if i got more spare time

My First Adbrite Check Payment

Yeah, after 2 years from sign-up on Adbrite, i got my first check delivered. The amount of the check is not very big, because i just wanna know how the Adbrite system work. And here’s my review on Adbrite payment system.

You set your minimum payment.
After you got enough revenue, go away for 6 months, because you must wait that long until your check got delivered ~_~
After 6 months, check again your payment status. It should be delivered now.
Wait for several days (depends on your country).
And you got your Adbrite check..

To be honest, after i getting my Adbrite check, i replace all their ads with Adsense. Adsense is far more superior and faster on getting payment..

I've Got Smart Priced?

I don’t know.. But somehow my click pay rate is declining While it can reach for $0.1 last month, now it’s only $0.03 on average. I hope this is just for a while.. If not, maybe i should figure it somehow if i got smart priced by Google..

ProjectWonderful Payment Sent

At last, i just got payment from ProjectWonderful. Actually this is my second payment. But this payment is pretty big compared to the previous one. For some reason, i got lucky that some people competing on my Dota Blog spot and caused the rate increase into $2.5 a day ^^ But today it’s back to normal again -_- Anyway, together with the previous infolinks withdrawal, now i can pay for my next year hosting bill

First InfoLinks Payments

Yay! After my Infolinks payment got pending last month, yesterday i got email from paypal that said the Infolinks send me payment Well, it’s not much, but it still above my expectation ^^ $200 is pretty much helping me in paying my next year hosting payment which is $480 -_- Now, i’m still waiting for the Adbrite. Gosh! I wish i have another choice.. Adbrite is so slow on take care of the payment. What make it worse is that it still using check! Come on man..
